LESSON 03 OF 03 · WRITTEN GUIDE
Prepare a release checklist
A release checklist turns confidence into evidence. Scope the checklist to the actual product and its consequences. Publishing is not the finish line: make it possible to notice problems and recover from them.
Make it practical
Check the primary task, error states, keyboard use, mobile layout, data rules, links, and metadata. Record known limitations, a rollback method, and the first outcome you want to observe after release.
TRY THIS PROMPT
Turn my acceptance criteria into a concise release checklist. Separate checks already completed from checks still needed. Include recovery steps and avoid claiming production readiness without evidence.
Check your work
Is there an owner for each unresolved issue? Can you recover the previous version? Can you tell whether the primary task is working after release?
Use the output as a draft. Compare it with the brief, inspect the work, and keep the decisions you can explain.
