LESSON 02 OF 03 · WRITTEN GUIDE
Show the thinking behind the work
Show the meaningful decisions, including what you rejected. A raw conversation transcript rarely explains your judgment. Select one or two moments where evidence changed your direction, and show the effect on the design.
Make it practical
Create a before-and-after comparison. Annotate the problem, the alternative considered, the chosen change, and the reason. Include one limitation that remains.
TRY THIS PROMPT
Help me explain why I replaced a three-step save flow with one form. Use only the evidence in my notes. Keep the explanation focused on the user task and acknowledge what I have not tested.
Check your work
Can the reader understand why the change was made? Does the visual comparison support your explanation? Are opinions distinguished from findings?
Use the output as a draft. Compare it with the brief, inspect the work, and keep the decisions you can explain.
